About Us

Active for 35 years CAVA, Chicago Archdiocesan Vocation Association, is a ministry sponsored by the Office for Religious of the Archdiocese of Chicago. We are an association of Roman Catholic Religious Sisters, Brothers, Priests, Consecrated Laity and others who are active and supportive of vocation ministry.

Members of CAVA belong to or avidly support religious congregations, secular institutes and lay ecclesial movements serving the People of God in the Archdiocese of Chicago. CAVA’s purpose is to nurture a Culture of Vocations within the Catholic Church. Our twofold purpose is to promote general vocation awareness and to invite young men and women to discern a vocation to consecrated life.

CAVA’s standing committees organize a myriad of events including evenings of discernment, campus retreats, vocation panel presentations, vocation fairs for elementary and high schools and parishes and so much more!!

The Three committees are:

-CM/YA – Campus Ministry/Young Adult Committee
-VAPS – Vocation Awareness in Parish & Schools
-Communications Committee

Are you a consecrated person serving in the Archdiocese passionate about inviting new members into this life of grace? Are you a non-consecrated lay person desiring to help create a Culture of Vocations?  JOIN US!!!
