Active in the Archdiocese of Chicago since August 1979 CAVA is celebrating our 30th year anniversary! Sponsored by the Chicago Archdiocesan Office for Religious we are an association of 80+ Roman Catholic Sisters, Brothers and Priests who are vocation directors and ministers. Members of CAVA belong to congregations who serve the People of God in the Archdiocese of Chicago. CAVA’s purpose is to nurture a Culture of Vocations within the Catholic Church and to invite young men and women to discern a vocation to consecrated life.
CAVA has five standing committees where members participate in various vocation awareness activities, programs and events. The five committees are -Advertising & Website Committee -Campus Ministry/Young Adult Committee -CAVA Latina Committee -Education Committee -Parish Vocation Awareness Committee
These committees organize a myriad of events including evenings of discernment, campus retreats, vocation panel presentations, vocation fairs for elementary and high schools and parishes and so much more!!
Each religious congregation currently ministering within the Archdiocese is welcome to join CAVA.
